Who's to say what each day will bring
Will the sun shine will the birds sing
Who's to say what the New Year holds
Will it be warmer now or bitter cold
Who's to say if your life will change
Even now when you feel so strange
Who's to say if you will cry some more
As you wonder how you can still endure
Who's to say if your pain will lessen
As you pray each night for God's blessing
Who's to say where your friends are now
They just seem to ignore you somehow
In this life you will learn one thing
How to go on with all your suffering
Even though I am there no more
I'm in your heart that's for sure
Even though I have left this place
