Who knows where your heart will be
When you lose someone for eternity
Who knows how long you grieve
It is just too hard to believe
Who knows what the day will bring
Will we dwell on the past and the same old thing

Ever since that tragedy you are not the same

Will we hide ourselves among other things
We can never find a reason why
That our loved one would soon die
We can never escape
That tragic fate
For who knows where our loved ones go
As our lives are torn going to and fro
Who knows how much we cry
Never finding the reason why
Who knows what our love can bring
Just happy memories of everything
For now we must remember those days
When life was different in every way
But now we know our hearts are broken
For words we could have really spoken
Who knows what goes on inside
Of all the grief and hurt we hide
Who knows what each day will bring
Another day of remembering
Of all the good times that will last
As we forget the tragedy in the past
That is when you will know
You have peace and comfort and it shows
You will know that's its true
