What Would I Say
I was thinking of what I would say
If we were to meet again today
I would ask you what is was like
To be in God's pure and holy sight
Did anyone greet you when you did arrive
Did they watch the last thing you did alive
What is it like on the other side
When you left me when you died
A thousand questions I will ask
I know it wont be a pleasant task
All these things I do not know
Even why you had to go
For in my heart both broken and weak
Long to hear of words you speak
This I know will never come
I still live with each new sun
There is one word I will always say
No greater love hath a father this day
The only word that will come from my lips
Is that one day I will begin my trip
Then I will get to says the words I wanted to say
Of how long and hard I have waited for this day
I will see you face shining so bright
Illuminated by God's pure light
On that day when we meet once more
My life will be over no longer to endure
For I have found you high up above
Together forever with God's pure love
