The Way We Were

I remember those days not long ago
When you were younger just starting to grow
The times we had I'll treasure in my heart
That's where they will always be a part
The picnics, the birthdays and holidays too
Bring back the memories of just me and you
The way we were was different then
There was no beginning there was no end
Those happy times that we one shared
We laughed we danced as if no one cared
The way we were is now long past
We chose to live life to fast
All those days of yesteryear
Now are memories we hold dear
The way we were I dream again
To bring back those times that never end
