Walk In My shoes

You haven't walked in my shoes
I lost a child you didn't lose
Yet you think it's just a matter of time
This will go away and I'll be fine
You don't understand what I have been through
I pray to God this doesn't happen to you
The devastation, the anger, the pain that follow
Makes your heart, your mind and body hollow
I don't know why you can't comprehend
I always thought you were my friend
My heart aches with each passing day
You my friend are still the same old way
Listen my friend you better take heed
Friends like you I don't need
If this should ever happen to you
Then you will learn to walk in my shoes
