Today is Easter and what do I do
I think of Jesus and about you
The pain and suffering that he endured
To erase our sins of which he cured
He gave his life on the cross that day
To welcome you home when you passed away
His life was prophesized and it was true
He knew what his life meant and what he had to do
He was nailed to the cross so horrendous and true
He shed his blood for us me and you
Just like our children who passed away
Jesus was there with them that very day
Today when you think of the resurrection of Christ
Remember your loved ones you won't think twice
For as today Jesus Christ has risen
Your children are with him and forgiven
They have risen with Christ again
They walk in heaven hand in hand
