My mind was thinking of you today
What we would do and what I would say
Where we would go and what we would do
See old friends and meet new ones too
A thousand questions would come to mind
Of where you were and what did you find
Did you see a light when the end was near
Did you see the Angels who held you dear
I can only imagine these sights to me
These I haven't been able to see
I strain my eyes and look everywhere
Never have I seen you anywhere
Maybe I'm trying to hard to find
Something to give me piece of mind
My concern is not for me
I just hope that you are free
You just left without saying goodbye
I just wish I knew the reason why
Now I know you had to go
My love for you will always glow
So as we part and say goodbye
Tears of joy I will cry
For I have been blessed this very day
