Thinking of You
As I sit here and wonder when
The time and place we meet again
You and I are worlds apart
Even though you're in my heart
I speak to you at times today
I tell you I miss you in my own way
I think about the times we had
All the good ones and even the bad
I say a prayer for you each night
In my heart I feel its right
I look at the pictures of you again
My mind goes back and remembers when
Things were different and not the same
When I was happy and free of pain
Wishing that you could turn back time
When you were younger and doing fine
Was it destiny or was it fate
I only know I was too late
There is nothing I can do anymore
I know in my heart you are free for sure
These are my thoughts of you today
How I think about you in my own way
One day in the future my time will come
Then I will meet you again my son
