The Picture
The picture of you sits next to me
Brings back reality and memories
The thoughts of you since you passed away
I relive your life with me each passing day
I can only hope you left with no regrets
You life so precious to me I will never forget
They say a picture is worth a thousand words
I would give anything just so you could be heard
These things I see as I gaze at you face
A time before and a happier place
All I have left is the memories of you
The pictures is what makes it so true
I write these poems for you from my heart
For that is where you will always be a part
The picture I imagine in my head
Is not the one of how I found you dead
The picture I imagine is you dressed in white
Aglow in heaven with God's pure light
