Somewhere in time I want to be
When my child was alive and happy
Those days so long ago it seems
Yet still in my mind I can hear the screams
Somewhere in time in another place
We will meet again face to face
I try to my best to remember those days
When you were here but nothings stays
My mind seems to wander of times long past
Never did I think that your life wouldn't last
Answers I search for but none do I fine
I will never know until it's my time
So what do I say to others like me
Who has lost a child and feel so empty
My heart cries out as I can feel their pain
Knowing myself their life will never be the same
Yet the ache in my heart that I feel
I wish I could say it is not real
Just a bad dream I wish it were true
I would make it go away just for you
Somewhere in time you will see
God's gift of life for eternity
