Sometimes I Wonder

Sometimes I wonder what could I have done
When in their life did it become no more fun
What signs did I miss what didn't I know
What was wrong with their life that they decided to go
These same questions still run through my mind
How life could be so cruel and be so unkind
There was no way to know no way to prepare
Not even a hint that they would share
Yet leave us behind with nothing but pain
A life now shattered to never be the same
Anger we have for the fate that they did
We still think of them as our little kid
What bothers me most is that I couldn't help
They was no call no noise not even a yelp
Betrayed we feel for the loss that we share
Their life so destroyed their minds so bare
To be free of their pain and released from their fate
Their life was over for God had set their date
As they took their last breath his hand reached theirs
As he welcomed them home and live in his care
Now they are free and their souls are pure
Living with God in heaven forever more
