Today is a day I will remember to well
My thoughts of you are putting me through hell
A special day that I though would be
Filled with happiness for you to see
Now this day I dread each year
My heart still grieves my eyes still tear
Once my life was full of joy
All I talked about was you my boy
Now I feel the strains of life
Filled with grief and all it's strife
Everything now seems to change
I feel different as if I'm strange
My faith my dreams has been put to the test
Since I had to lay you to rest
As this date is almost near
I hope it's better for me next year
Maybe then I will re learn to live
To open my heart and try and forgive
I never knew how I could feel this way
Since I lost you on that tragic day
One thing I have they can't take from me
Is the love I have in my heart for thee
