Many times I have thought about you
So hard to accept that it is true
The grief I endured the pain so deep
The endless nights that I did weep
The heart once happy and full of life
Mends so slowly like a thief in the night
Despair and anger just to name a few
Are things we endured I know it's true
The life we live was changed that day
The grief and sorrow is the price we pay
Time goes on as we know it must
Our hearts and minds there is no trust
Our thoughts are scrambled like the eggs we fry
As we try and ask ourselves oh why oh why
We did not know of the tragic date
If we did we could have changed their fate
Our hearts and minds could not see
How this tragedy could happen to me
This I know may sound very strange
Your love for them will never change
So as you stop and think of me
Remember me for I am free.
