This Is Reality

Explain how I feel you ask me today
Numb and empty with little to say
I don't know why I feel so blue
My thoughts keep thinking about you
The mind seems blank like nothing is there
I grasp for thoughts out of thin air
It has been a while since my life did change
Everything feels different it isn't the same
I can't explain the way that I feel
It just doesn't seem to be real
It like a daze that has got me down
I cant be happy so I wear a frown
I am told better days lie ahead
It's the ones before that I dread
The birth and death dates as they draw near
Weakens my emotions as those dates draw near
I am not prepared at all for this event
I wish there was a way to circumvent
So In this daze and rut I'll be
Only because this is reality
