The Rainbow
Outside the storm rages on
Changing the calm of an early morn
Flashes of lights appear in the sky
Thundering clouds that billow up high
A once peaceful day now full of gloom
It seems like a signal of an impending doom
The bolts of lightning slice through the air
Nothing to stop it, nothing is there
The storm reaches it fury and starts to subside
With nothing to fear and nothing to hide
Then the beauty of a rainbow appears
It seems like an angel drying his tears
The colors appear in an arc so true
This rainbow was made just for you
Like the storm that has come and went
The rainbow you seen was heaven sent
Another day the angels will cry
When a storm comes crashing by
But in the end you will always see
A rainbow from God just for thee
