Never Forget

Please don't tell me how to grieve
You have no clue you can't conceive
Words you speak I don't want to hear
You think everything is so clear
The day it happened you weren't there
The pain the suffering and despair
The sudden loss of our loved one
It can't be changed or ever undone
Then the words you say I hate to hear
Get over it move on it's another year
These simple words that you say
Make life hell another day
I wake up each day I am alive
That is how I still survive
My life has changed I'm not the same
You don't even say their name
To this I say and shout out loud
They had lived and made me proud
Now they are gone and you want to forget
They still live in my heart with no regrets
I will never forget that day
It won't happen there ain't no way
