My Son's Reply

Dear dad I'm sorry you are feeling so blue
I did this because how much I love you
I know you can't begin to understand
Why I took my life with my own hand
To say I did this to cause you such pain
Is pure nonsense I had nothing to gain
The pain and torment that I went through
I hid so well out of my love for you
I know at this time what your thoughts have to say
I want you to forgive on what I did that day
It was the only way out I know you wouldn't see
Just how agonizing my life soon became to be
As you search for answers and ask all the why's
Look up to the heavens way past the deep blue sky
I have given you the best years of my life
Now I am free and have no more strife
The pain and agony I held deep inside
I'm now free at last I chose to decide
DadI say this it's time for me to go away
I'll always be beside you until your dying day
On that day you will surely see
The blessing of God and his mercy
