My Mother to Me

When I was a child and was being raised
My mom and day were always half crazed
The kind of life a child should not expect
Especially from a mom full of abuse and neglect
Life has been had for I have found out
With all its fury and all of its clout
Many years later I was to find
A spunky old lady who was gentle and kind
Her name was bunky as I found out
In all her wise years she knew what life was about
I became a friend to her in a very special way
She giggles and laughs playing bingo all day
Now as time has gone by this late in my life
Bunky has become like an old fashioned mid wife
But more then that I hope she can see
She has become a mother so dear to me
The love and beauty I can see on her face
So strong and enduring it its right place
A mother I never had now she has become
She has come into my life and my loved one
I hope you are not offended for my words speak true
Bunky you have become my mother and I love you.
