My Love and My Light

You were the love of my life you were my light
Till you were taken like a thief in the night
You were just 4 years old when God called you home
And took you away and left me all alone
He was born with a gift he was very bright
It seems like he was surrounded by a beautiful light
He had a heart of gold with gorgeous hazel eyes
Not even once did he ever tell a lie
With hair so blonde and bright as the sun
He was my life , he was so much fun
He loved to play and run up to me
Then he would say I love you mommy
My hand he would place right on his heart
And say mommy in here you are part
We would hug and kiss and he began to wiggle
He would say I love you mommy then start to giggle
That sound he made was music to my ears
Now all it brings is sadness and tears
All I remember is those giggles and sounds
How much we loved you when you were around
A love so deep and endless as the sky
I will love you always till the day I die
