I'm in a hurry and just can't wait
I don't have time I can't hesitate
Life is so short and I don't know
What to do or where to go
Then my life did suddenly change
A tragic event made everything strange
My world was turned inside out
I couldn't scream or even shout
I lost my son to suicide one day
Friends and relatives don't know what to say
Things I took for granted came to a sudden halt
Now everywhere I look I try to place fault
There was no note left for me to find
All I have left is no peace of mind
Then one day I did realize
I had to let my son go to survive
I feel like a weight has been lifted from me
To find a hidden peace deep within thee
For in you heart you will find love is there
Now you reach deep down and spread it everywhere
For even though life is so short we know
Now it's our turn to help others grow
For grief and sorrow that we now endure
We learned compassion and understanding this I am sure

Even though you may not see or hear God's angels from above
