If love could have saved you, you would live forever
In our hearts and minds we will always be together
In life as things can happen beyond our wildest dreams
Instead of feeling happy you live amongst your inner screams
You search in vain for answer but none do you ever find
But then you think you are crazy and about to lose your mind
If love could have saved you this I know for sure
These poems I write from love would cease forever more
Although you have left us and feel no earthly pain
The one that you leave behind their lives are not the same
I have no answer as to why you chose to die that night
Nor was I prepared at all to find you in the morning light
5 years ago this happened and still today I cry
For the love I have for you can and will never die
If my love could have saved you, what would life now be
I wish I could answer that but I cannot and you will see
That my love could not have saved you then it was out of my control
For God in heaven called you home to redeem you and your soul
