I Am Still Alive

I look for answers but none do I find
Tears still fall with a confused mind
There is no clue no reason for this
My son my son what did I miss
Life was hard and I know you did your best
My heart was broken when I laid you to rest
One thing a mother is not supposed to do
Is to outlive her son as I did you
Almost 2 years has passed and nothing has changed
Nothing seems real any more everything feels strange
My mother has passed away just a few months ago
I hope you were waiting for her with your wings all aglow
The brilliance of love that shines through the night
Ready to welcome my mother with God's Holy light
It's really been hard for me to survive
Each day that passes I am still alive
My day will come when God calls me home
We will be together again and no longer alone
