A special gift was given from God up above
He blessed you with a child to raise and to love
The very first time you held them in your arms
With love and happiness and free of all harm
You raised your child with love in your heart
You sent them to school to learn and be smart
All this time God watched from above
He seen how you raised them with all of your love
Then one day something went wrong
They could no longer live and try to be strong
That is the day that God heard them say
Please welcome me home this to you I pray
My life on earth I can no longer bear
Nothing is left for me to share
God heard their pleas and gave them their rest
There time on earth was over they did their best
These words I say to you come straight from my head
It's them saying don't mourn for me I'm dead
My body is gone but my soul if free
I am with God for eternity
