I reminisce back through all of the years
And remember all the laughter and the tears
What was instilled in my heart and my mind
Was that family was everything and I was fine
Years have passed and the children have grown
Families have moved like seeds that are sown
I yearn for the day when I was young
When the family was as one and songs were sung
As the years have gone by and I have now grown old
In my heart are those memories of many stories to be told.
During these times as the years have went by
I have been told of the family as each one would die
To not be able to attend and express my sorrow
Leaves a heart broken with no happy tomorrows
I have lost my Parents, relatives and Son
Then I received the news that I lost another one
A woman so special words cannot express
The deep remorse and loneliness
For Jeanette was more then a relative to me
She was my Godmother whom I cannot see
WE spoke on the phone just a few weeks ago
She was so happy and all aglow
That her daughter took her to see her Family again
Not knowing it would be the last time it was the end
Yet all these words I have written have meaning to me
For my heart grieves with Jeanette’s family in deep sympathy
To all her girls I wish I could say
That I could wipe all your tears away
For what we have left is the memories they leave behind
For no one can take them as they are deep in your mind
On this day as sad as it will become
I pray that all you girls come together as one
Make you mom proud as she watches over you
For this day is so hard and I will miss her too
Edwin,William,Rob,Madeline,Arthur and Jeannette
They are all together now we can never forget
God does work in mysterious ways
My prayer is that he brings comfort your way
