You wait to hear the knock on your door
Wishing for something that is no more
You long to get a phone call and hear
Hello Mom it's me again this year
Sometimes out of the corner of your eye
You think you just saw then walk on by
These are but a few of the things we wish for
Even just to hold them just once more
To say the words our hearts cry out
All the more we want to scream and shout
We beat ourselves up and always ask why
But deep inside all we can do is cry
For once I was alive but now I am dead
I watch over you each night when you go to bed
I only wish that you could see
I am now whole and very happy
Even though you will never know
The pure love for thee I cant show
I will come and share with you
In your dreams just us to
Then I will see the smile on your face
Then you will know I am in a better place
But never forget me I am there
I am around you everywhere
