An End To An Era

There are many thoughts that run through my mind
For many losses have I suffered yet I try to unwind
We are but mortal and have but years to be alive
But life becomes harder as we are left to survive
I have lost my Mother,Father and my oldest Son
As much as I have lost it cannot be undone
In life I always took things for granted until this day
Now the ones I have lost there are no words I can say
No more phone calls to see how you are
No more House to visit you in my car
Life changes quickly like the wink of an eye
Yet these questions remain as we ask ourselves WHY
Our inner strength must come out of it's shell
To guide us and remind us that they are well
I held my Mom's hand as she passed away
I talked to my dad as he passed the same way
The tears are gone but one thing you cannot change
The love and memories of my Parents will always remain
My Mom,then my Son now my Father have become one
For they are with God the Father and ther Holy Son
Now I must survive and find my way
To wake up tomorrow and start a new day
