Easter Day
We think of Easter and what comes to mind
Little bunny rabbits with fur soft and fine
We think of Easter eggs all colored and dyed
We look for the joy in our children's wide eyes
The chocolate bunnies the jelly beans to
Made up in an Easter basket just for you
We remember the times the eggs we would hide
To see who would find the one with the prize
These are the times I remember so well
When things were different and I could tell
Now the times has changed my ways
All I can look for is the yesterdays
The years of Easter that has gone by
Now I am left with the unanswered why
I will never again see a smile on your face
For now I know you are in a better place
For when Easter day does arrive
I will remember you for I am alive
