Each Day I awake

Each day I awake and look to the sky
The same question haunts me the question is why
I can find no answer no words can suffice
The moment I found out who ended your life
The tears that I shed both morning and night
Their grief that I hide and keep out of sight
The lives you have touched were more then you knew
With a friend they had like you are far and so few
The life you lived was happy and free
Now all I have are memories of thee
I look in the backyard hoping to see you there
Hoping and wishing for more then thin air
Remembering the times we had for each other
Brother and sister even father and mother
Those were the days we shared and we loved
Then you were called home by God up above
I am proud of you Michael I heard God say
You earned your wings and became an angel that day
Though I am gone and no longer there
I will watch over you because I still care
And when that day comes for you to come home
I will be waiting for you mother you wont be alone
