A Bond Called Love
It was only a short time ago for most of us I know
When things were different and we were on the go
We were living in the fast lane of life
With all of it's meanings and all of it's strife
Then one day our worlds came crumbling down
A day we will never forget a day we dropped to the ground
A permanent solution to a temporary problem was our fate
It was so unexpected the tragic events that occurred on that date
The heart once happy now shattered with grief
You search for answers but find no relief
You seek out a doctor as you try and reach out
They don't even comprehend what you are talking about
Times at home when you are all alone
Gives way to your mind while it does roam
The thoughts and questions keep you in a daze
You feel like a mouse running through a maze
On the computer you search the net
Searching and looking to see what you can get
You find web site of others who have left
You feel so down the sites leave you bereft
During your visits you find a link
To a support group it makes you think
You grief is so raw and you need to know
What do they groups offer where can you go
You join a group and meet others like you
Who welcome with compassion they have been there to
These people are total strangers whom you don't even know
But their love and understanding is complete and aglow
A bond of love so genuine and so true
Is what they offer just for you
This bond of love so different and real
Comes straight from the heart it's just how they feel
Once strangers to you , you knew not a one
Forever a friend as they and you have done
This bond of love of this I have shown
Now belongs to us as we now own
Your life changes as you start to reach out
Their bond of love knows what it's all about
Of all the love I have had in my life
There is only one other love as strong as my wife
That love I found from these strangers one day in my life
